...I suspect that the decision is close, and that with the race 1 pip better for us (if somehow we could make that change without changing other relevant aspects of the position) running would be better.

Really -- that close -- just 1 pip?

The original position is on the left. On the right, I've altered the race in Blue's favor by 5 pips, and yet I still prefer to blitz with A (Attack, 8/3(2) 6/1*(2)) than to run with B (Both, 20/10(2)).
