1. Black has 11 checkers in the zone with one back checker escaped. Yellow has no new points made, but is not on the bar and has only one checker back with only a ten-pip race deficit. D/T is my guess.

2. I'm inclined to play safe here since we have the weaker board. If we do get attacked then I'd be much happier taking without another blot lying around. 13/8 9/6, though I guess I won't be too surprised if a bolder play is possible.

3. We have ten checkers in the zone but only two points made, with a blot on the ace point. Black's board is pretty strong. I think this is an easy take. I think I would also double but it seems close at best. D/T.

4. Yellow has two on the bar against what may be a four-point board soon, but Black has five checkers back. I don't think this can be a drop, but I would also double because it looks like a market loser to make the fourth point and have Yellow dance.

5. I don't see any reason to leave two blots, so 14/8 is my 6 and I have to decide which blot to lift. Black is less eager to hit in the outfield, but it seems that the gain from making our 5pt is worth the risk. 14/8 14/13 for me.
