31P-61P-31 and 31P-53P-31

This is a response to Neil's rollout post.
Below are (money) rollout results of these two contrasting positions. (Thanks, Neil for the XG rollout.)
31P-61P-31
31P-53P-31
31P-61P-31
[E S23 N41] /5
[E S22 N26] /531P-53P-31
[N E12 S12] ~12
[N E7 S12 U31] /10**5
[N E9 S17] "<7=Key: E = Each (24/21 6/5), S = Split (24/23 13/10), N = Near (13/10 6/5). Margins are in thousandths. After the bracket is a bot symbol (~ Snowie, / GnuBG, "<...= XG2 3-ply checkers and Roller cube) followed by the number of trials in thousands, rounded down (an asterisk repeats a number).
For example, "[N E9 S17] ~12" means that N is best, E is -.012 and S is -.012 in a Snowie rollout of 12000+ trials.
In short, E is best on the left, and N is best on the right (except at gammon save where E is best).
You can read the full analysis of both positions in Backgammon Openings, pp. 68–69.
