- 1: Double/drop
- Black has position, race and threats. None of them are overwhelming, but 3/3 PRAT indicators is still enough for me to let this one go.
- 2: 6/1* 23/20
- The tempo hit looks clear to me, and I have a hard time seeing good alternatives
- 3: No double/take
- Certainly a take and no Woolsey rule double. It must be close though, but I think White has too many things to do to be really threatening.
- 4: Double/take
- 2 on the bar against a 3.5 point priming board must be worth a double. However, the 2 remaining points will stay open long with Black having 5 back, and White must be able to take. This is where I imagine Kit saying "The cup is half full" and "double/take, what else is new"
- 5: 14/13 14/8
- Simple plays for simple people, and completely disregarding any QF. Yet I cannot see any reason why plays giving more blots and shots should be correct here, so the only alternative that seems plausible is 14/8 5/4. This requires Black to break mid to hit, instead of hitting with a spare. However, this also means that the released midpoint provide immediate builders for Black board, and that White basically gives up on ever making the 5 point. I can not get myself to do that.
