But seriously, maybe we should be using stick 'em?

From the US rules, 4.1, "........tossing them out at a discernible height above the playing surface, allowing them to bounce and roll freely......" OK, so, if the die(ce) contact the cup again before coming to rest, then it seems they have not been allowed to roll freely, and the roll is not valid.

That seems reasonably clear cut so I conclude that I must be missing something. Also, Gregg will have to complete an intermediate course in not dropping his dice cup prior to the next tournament.
