Hi, this is Linda Rockwell, not David. I can't find my BGOnline password so am posting under his account.

It was I, not Fran Miller, who went out to the lobby and found Oleg. As a TD, I have had previous experience with him and know he's not the most proficient reader of drawsheets. My first words to him (a standing joke between us) were "Oleg, you're about to get penalty points!" He responded "Why?" I said, "Because you have a match to play". He responded that he had already played, and had been paid prize money. I said, "Well, they're calling your name." He immediately ran - literally - into the playing room to check on the situation. He seemed sincerely shocked to learn that he had another match to play.

As a TD, I feel it is my responsibility to confirm with both opponents in a finals match before handing out any prize money. If that had been done here, the problem would have been averted.
