Another strange incident from the Cleveland Tourney

Many of us at the BPC have known Oleg for years. He would never lie to win a BG event. It is not in his DNA. Also, he is not an inexperienced player as Peggy suggests, but he is guilty of being a human being with all of the imperfections that come with that title. Clearly this is a simple misunderstanding that has been blown way out of proportion. The point is that misunderstandings occur, and they can be easily cleared up, as was done in this case.
The larger, overarching issue here is that there is a very big difference between misunderstanding names and faces, versus trying to intentionally mislead people in order to steal a tournament. It is inappropriate to slander a person's reputation over a simple misunderstanding. There was no crime here.
In my opinion, Peggy owes Oleg an apology for slandering his good name, and she should accept her unfortunate loss with dignity.
