Unless I misread Peggy's whole post I do not recall her using the word steal or stolen. Can you provide a quote? What is clear is Peggy has no idea if the guy is legitimate or not. He did in fact utter untruths to the director and that is why Oleg should accept complete responsibility for his mistake.

I would have split the total prize pool for 1st and 2nd had I won. Because I would expect full well not doing something of that nature would make my position of simple error more likely. Only Oleg can truly know the intent, but Oleg had ways out of that if he truly were looking for people to realize it was a clear mistake.

Do I blame Peggy, no. If it had been Neil Kaz I still think peggy had a right to bring it up.

I don't see where Peggy lied outright regarding the true facts in this case. The time of 4:22 or 5pm doesn't matter and who went out to talk to Oleg doesn't matter. What does matter is that Oleg uttered an untruth to the director, walked way with prize and money for 1st (which had no involvement from Peggy) and it was caught in time before he disappeared.

If Oleg offered to split the winnings (or some other arrangement to compensate the opponent) in the event he won then that is a key piece of information that would change my feelings on this. If that didn't happen then I hav no problem with Peggy posting as she did.

I clearly now know I have to concern myself with this happening at an event and for that I am appreciative of Peggy telling the story.

I harbor no ill will towards Oleg. He likely made a serious but accidental mistake. I don't see how harm was done to Oleg here.
