Agree Bob - I suggested that in one of my (long) responses to Stick, if people are very scared of the occasional split roll.

I think I understand your point Mary, but is the difference really that big between a split roll vs. one-sided roll? The mechanics would be the same, the only difference is that the "proper" rolled die would be a little bit farther away from the "crooked" one. Maybe it would seem more suspicious doing it as a split roll, rather than the more low-profile "normal" roll? I really don't think the difference is that big.

But anyway - I'm from Europe - not really used to all those dice mechanics ;-) Heh...

How big of a problem are dice mechanics in backgammon in the US? Do you have any disputes over such related issues on the ABT ever? Or in other tourneys?
