What kind of move filter are you using for XGR+? When I play against XGR+ on my own computer, I use the default settings, and occasionally am bemused when it doesn't play the move with the highest XGR+ evaluation, because it didn't bother running the moves through XGR+ but stopped at 3-ply or 4-ply. For the OLM, perhaps it's worth forcing all the plausible plays through an XGR+ evaluation? Though I know this means more work for you.
