After seeing Stick's response (20/11), I noted that GNUbg had not even considered that play at the 4-ply analysis level.
So I clicked the 4-ply analysis of 20/11 and guess what, it was the top play.
This has taught me a lesson: be careful when looking at GNUbg's pre-set 4-ply analysis of a whole game; it may miss the right play.
