title hierarchy

The GMs that have been named from the get go (DBgF have calculated backwards 20 years for 3 of the norm-types) are:
Karsten Bredahl Lars Trabolt Steen Grønbech Mikael Jensen Thomas Jespersen Henrik Løber
These players have been the most dominant in DBgF with recent years weighted a little bit more than the early years - due to slight inflation in the top of the rating system (correlating perfect with the raise of playing level due to bots).
I'd expect Mikael, Thomas and Henrik to be less known outside Denmark, where as Karsten, Lars and Steen should be known by many people around the world for their game and participation in international tournaments.

To elaborate a little bit on CMC's desciption, you can score 4 types of norms:
Championship norm (unlimited), for winning the World Championship, Nordic Open or the Danish Championship, or for scoring 3 second places or consolation wins in these. There have to be at least 64 participants for the tournament to count. The DBgF Tournament Committee might add more tournaments to the list, if they see fit.
Ranking norm (max. 1 norm), for being ranked over 1300 in the DBgF rating system - which equals being number 1 on the list - typical for a longer period of time and/or with a wide margin to the others.
"TMP1200" norm (Total Match Points played over 1200 rating points) (maximum 3 norms) for playing more than 1200 points worth of official DBgF matches while being rated above the 1200 mark. A maximum of 3 "TMP" norms can be given (ie. 3600 points played above the 1200 mark). It's a sign of consistent strong play to keep oneself above the 1200 mark for a long period of time (while being active). The "mark" has been set around top 5-7% of the players on the ranking list and will be adjusted every year by the Tournament Committee.
Bot-norm (maximum 2 norms) for playing below 3.5 PR (toughest available setting in XG, no outplay) in 5 live matches of at least 15 points length, within a 2 year period, and in a few approved tournaments (ensuring high level of play and competitive environment. Currently the list of approved tournaments are the same as for the Championship norm + the Danish team league (matches to 17 point). The Tournament Committee will add tournaments as they see fit and will continually monitor the threshold set (PR and period) accordingly.
1 norm = IM 4 norms = GM (have to score from at least two categories) 8 norms = SGM (have to score from all categories)
Currently Karsten Bredahl is the one closest to scoring the first SGM title, but he still needs 2 or 3 norms, Steen Grønbech follows him as the second favorite for this.
The title-system has been devised for DBgF by former World Champion Peter Hallberg, and has been reviewed thoroughly by many Danish top-players. Simulations have been made on the last 12 years of match data in the DBgF rating system.
The title-system will be officially introduced and described in detail, at the Nordic Open. In the near future, the DBgF web site will open for title pages, describing the system, showing all the norms in details, player profiles, etc.
And remember: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A DBgF GRAND MASTER even though you never heard of him before ;-)
