>> I thought about the frequency with which they'd be able to play 15+ point matches that would qualify for this norm but then you tossed in the Danish team leagues and I have no idea how often these happen so I tossed my hands up because it sounds like they could be played rather frequently.

For the match analysis level for this kind of thing it's simple. It should be a custom setting where everything is ran through XGR+ with a huge filter. To save time remember you can analyze only one player, you don't have to run both on this high of a setting.

You don't have to stagger the required PR at half points. I'd feel better already about it being 3.2 opposed to 3.5.

Yes, this is true. The Team League pose a challenge to adjust the bot norm. It's 22 matches a year, with a top-player typically playing two thirds of those. We're trading off the tournaments that counts, with the level set to achieve the norm. And we might have to reconsider that trade-off as we go along. Imagine if this whole system could trigger the notation of all top-level matches in the DBgF, including all 528 elite division matches played by the 12 teams throughout the year. That would be incredible. We really don't know how many matches will be recorded.

As for your settings, it's the "everything through XGR+ with huge filter" we aim for. And that's also what was written in the initial presentation of the system in the DBgF membership paper "Gammon". Thanks for the tip on saving time - I don't think we'll mind spending processing time on these matches, and one of the ideas are of course to publish all norm counting matches on the web site.

The .5 step was just an example - don't put too much into it.

:-)
