1. Raw take point is around 28%, with reduced gammon value. For money, a 22pt anchor game like this when the race is close should be a solid take, and probably not a double. Yellow's position looks formidable at first glance and there's some danger that Yellow will prime Black and force Black to crash, but I don't think this is a serious danger. Possibly the score moves it into doubling territory but I would hold. ND/T.

2. The raw pip count looks very favorable for Yellow but of course Yellow has a lot more wastage than Black does. Looks like it would be RD/T for money if it were a straight race, perhaps RD/P ATS. The contact should favor Black, though, since he's behind in the race with a stronger board. My guess is RD/T.

3. At first glance Yellow looks extremely vulnerable, with a checker on the bar and four builders aimed at the 20pt blot. However, Yellow does still have the stronger board and Black has two checkers on the ace point that are of use only if Yellow keeps dancing. If Yellow hits back then Yellow will be right back in the game. Redouble because of the gammon threat, and take because there are still good winning chances. I think the score makes the take somewhat easier than for money, when I would be less sure about the take.

4. 19-pip race lead against a 4pt holding game with the bar filled in but the 5pt open. Ignoring Black's outfield blot, this should be an easy take for money and perhaps a borderline double, perhaps not. I'm guessing that the outfield blot is roughly a wash; yes it could get hit, but it's not clear that having another checker back is necessarily bad for Black. Leading 4a5a I think I would hold here. ND/T.

5. At 4a2a this must be a pass so the question is whether Black is TG. OTB I'd probably cash this but I'll go out on a limb and say that this is TG/P.
