Hit twice or point on the 5pt?

In Response To: Hit twice or point on the 5pt? (Nack Ballard)

In the first case, I would make the 5pt by default.

In the second case, hitting twice (I hope the symbol is K due to the hit-on-the-highest-point convention) looks better because of
1) huge race jump;
2) preventing the opponent making their 5pt.
