So XG DID in fact roll one of the five hitting numbers... Only two legal 3's after entering. The only argument for leaving the blot on the five would be for us to anchor on the ace, giving us better chance to hit when XG eventually starts to bear off, and then win from there. The flaw in this argument is that if hit, we are less likely to anchor than being closed out with two on the bar. IF we anchor, we may very well not get, or hit, a shot anyway. IF we hit a shot, we will be severly crashed in our home board, and not win anyway with two checkers to bring home. Racing with one closed out must bet better.
