Agreed. The '...game is solved...' is a tag that can be placed on many sports and skill games. Just because there is a way that one can learn to play the game at the highest level does not mean that the game lacks challenge. Obviously some older backgammon players truly miss the edge that they may have had before learning the game became more possible.
