Maybe you didn't notice the score and the cube value.

I noticed it, but didn't grasp the full implication. I saw 3-0 in a match to 11 and thought "basically like money", but this isn't correct. Turning the cube to 8 means playing for the match if white accepts, so a little more care is needed.

If white passes the cube, he's 11 away 4 away and about 14% MWC. If he accepts, he can send the cube back and play for the match right now. Is he more than 14% to win? My straight N-roll pct is 79% but as you say black is quite a bit better than that since White's not guaranteed to bear off in three. I agree it's still a pass, but it's closer than I thought
