This comment surprises me. In a typical opening 55 blitz, it's usually more of a take if the defender's blot is on the 2pt rather than on the 5pt or 4pt. I have usually "explained" this by saying that on the 2pt the checker is less vulnerable and that this ends up being more important than the fact that if the defender anchors then he would prefer to anchor on the 5pt or the 4pt. So I would have expected the wins to be higher with a high point slotted but the gammons to be lower. Is this reasoning backwards?
