1. I'll be surprised if this isn't D/P. With such a large race deficit, Black must rely on hitting a shot. Yellow has already cleared the midpoint so Black has to hope that his 24pt blot will cause Yellow enough awkwardness while bearing in to leave a shot. I doubt that it's enough.

2. 13/8 10/9* leaves the fewest shots but it doesn't look as strong to me as the double hit. The alternative is just to make the 5pt. Not sure, so when in doubt I make the 5pt. 10/5 6/5.

3. The 6-away point is always a troublesome point to clear, but here it doesn't look so bad. I think only 63 blots immediately and many other rolls are "repeaters." D/P for me, though perhaps I'm underestimating the difficulty of clearing the 10pt.

4. Black's gaps on the 4pt and 7pt are Yellow's main hope for getting a shot. Enough to take? Maybe, but I'd pass here. D/P.

5. Black has a pretty good prime and we need to seize the opportunity to get some of the back checkers moving. 22/18(2), and then I think we need to make the 4pt, or else Black will have too free a hand to play boldly. 22/18(2) 8/4(2).
