- 1: No double / take
- One point board drops are rarer than hens teeth, and this doesn't look like one. It is difficult to imagine White not at least getting the start of a playable back game, which could still be a take, or at least a cash that adds value.
- 2: 8/7*/5
- The two anchors will gain some shots, but I think it is still worth going for the added chances of playing against White's back man. 8/7* 13/11 seems too rich though
- 3: Double/drop
- White gets a shot immediately on 66 63 62 61, - whereas Blue closes the problematic 2 point with 64, 65, 54, 55, 44. In other cases Blue probably moves the 8 point blot in, after which 5s become a problem number, blotting on the 2pt on some of the 5s. Again there will be about the same number of closers as blotters, leading me to think that Blue blots on 2pt about half the time. Of course there are some blot scenarios on the 5pt as well, but these are unlikely, and I don't think they add up to enough for White to take this.
- 4: No double / take
- Not a pretty sight, but White doesn't need beauty. Even with the wastage he leads the race by enough that he can use a couple of tries to get his spare back man out, either by running one, and clearing with doubles, or by somehow leapfrogging. His spares on 6 gives flexibility to guard against horror blotting rolls (Again at the cost of some wastage though). I would think White has a take here, and thus I don't see too many big threats for Blue
- 5: b/21 23/21 7/5
- Advancing the anchor is great, as is adding the 5th point to the prime. However Advancing the anchor later will prove to be difficult, while it will be relatively much easier to add to the prime later.
