You are losing a game- it's like the bottom of the 9th inning in baseball, for example- and, there's no available homerun(a roll of 6-6) to save your ass. Less luck in the game= more skill. I do agree with Bill that doublets often require skill- I'm talking bout those no brainers and, am just venting over the aftershocks of this weekends barrage of doublets. One day, tho, I will try this type of game -some variation can make for interesting play.
