When each player on a team plays every player on the other team, it's called a Scheveningen. This format was used quite a bit in chess to try to maximize norm chances with a minimum of titled players: you put all the grandmasters in one team and the grandmaster-norm-seekers in the other. However, FIDE cracked down on this practice when Myanmar (Burma) started producing a lot of weak titled players. Anyway, that's irrelevant to DK vs ROW, where more games would at least reduce the luck element.
