1. Trailing in the race with a weaker board, I don't think running is the right idea here. It's true that White's midpoint is stripped but she will be happy to hit with a 4 if we run and then if we dance it's all over. She might hit loose with a 5 anyway but I don't think that running improves our position. Just improve our board. 8/3 6/3.
2. The natural move is 24/13 but there's something to be said for holding the anchor and building our board when the opponent has those stacks. We'll certainly regret running if White rolls 55. Not sure but I guess I'll make the 3pt. 9/3 8/3.
3. 13/11(2) looks clear and then do we shuffle our back checkers forwards or do we make 5 out of 6 points? Our huge race lead suggests shuffling, but that six-away blocking point is hard to pass up. Again I don't know but I'll try the shuffle since 13/9(2) seems to leave us with a rather inflexible position. 24/22 16/14 13/11(2).
4. We could make a five-point board, or hit, or pull up an outfield point. Pulling up an outfield point looks pointless. We could regret the hit if we get hit back but White has several attacking rolls anyway that leave us up the creek. I'll try 8/1*.
5. The choices seem to be 24/21 4/2, 24/21 6/4, and 7/5 7/4. It would be nice to escape, but 24/21 doesn't quite escape, and we have some time to diddle around with our checkers on the 11pt while we wait for another escaping roll. There will still be plenty of contact so I will try building our board and biding our time with 7/5 7/4.
