1)Make the 3 point or escape? Since blue will still be down 9 pips after this play, I favor making a homeboard point. 8/3 6/3

2) Is this a trick question? I play lovers leap. Escape a runner, go ahead in the race. I don't see how making the three point is better. 24/13

3) I like 13/9(2) to block 6s from his anchor. Shifting to the 2 point and putting him on the roof is tempting, but I think the blockade is stronger.

4) 6/2 5/2 is the automatic play. QF says do something else. The runner is utg and hitting with 5/1* 4/1 takes away half white's roll making it safer for the runner. And with 14 checkers in the zone, blitzing would be appropriate. So I say blitz, knowing that I wouldn't have found it over the board.

5) I'd like to get the runner out of there, but stepping up to the 21 is just asking to be hit. Being ahead by 40 pips gives blue the luxury of making a safe play: 7/4 7/5. This gives blue a 5 point board, making white think twice before hitting loose.
