I'm with you one this one Seth - not as a rule change but for the occasional fun game. The next x-mas tournament in the local club or something like that.

With a small change: You allow x doubles to count in each game (3 maybe), but you have to decide yourself whenever you roll a double if this one should count or not. That would introduce skill. Would you rather spend your good doubles early in the game bringing you to a position where you might cash etc? Or would you prefer to wait - eg. having more doubles than your opponent during the bearoff will mess things up a great deal game-equity-wise.

Otherwise (if you simply start removing doubles with no decicion making in the process) I agree with Stein, you're probably easing up the game in many aspects.
