Nactation for entering checkers

To nactate entering (or fanning) plays: short version, long version.
At least one of those two links, and much more, can be found in Storm's Nactation postings guide.
As Stick says, the symbol for enter both/all can be omitted, and in fact I do for file names (computers accept ^ but neither > nor <) or if I've got a long sequence I want to comfortably fit on one line.
Otherwise, the reasons I usually include the > (enter both/all) symbol are: a) it is clearer that a character was not accidentally omitted, (b) one can look back to see if (or how many times) a player had been on the roof, and/or (c) the presence of a character helps to align the rows of a long sequence (so that all of Blue's plays and all of White's plays are vertically aligned).
These benefits are far from vital, so you should feel free to omit the > (enter both/all) or < (enter one) symbols and just include the two numbers or one number that entered instead.
Another option is to replace the > (enter both/all) symbol with a U (for Up).
