Nack (previous): If you additionally put White's 11pt checker on her 5pt (or her 8pt), I would play X.
Variant of variant
Turz: On her 8pt is clear (the checker can be hit easily), but why would it on her 5pt make a difference? You are playing C because of White's much stronger board, aren't you?
Your original position is the first position of this post, and yes, I am playing C (Cross, 24/23 11/6) because of White's much stronger board.
The second position (right-hand diagram of my previous post) is the 6/5 variant. What I said about this position is that it "looks close" between C and X (hit-and-split, 24/23 6/1*) due to the duplication of aces (that does not exist in the first position).
The third position (implied but not diagrammed in my previous post) is the variant of the variant I was referring to when I said, "If you additionally put White's 11pt checker on her 5pt, I would play X." Duplication of aces is even stronger in the third position than in the second position.
The value of duplicating aces is simply that White cannot hit with deuces, and that affects the checker play decision. Blue has more flexibility and resiliency with checkers on the 11pt, 6pt and 1pt than if he has them all stacked on his 6pt; that flexibility is worth the risk if he is not hit quite as often.
