It looks like I arrived too late to meaningfully comment on the hit/anchor decision (rollout already posted!), so I'll comment just on the play sequence.

Your opponent, 350 points lower than you, blundered in his second roll play of 64S-63D (or the position was arrived at via a longer sequence). OTOH, it seems you gave that equity back with the 51E (instead of 51H) play, subsequently arriving at this position:

64S-63D-65H-63H-51E-63P-44G-21H

Backgammon is fickle, however. Had your played correctly, you would have merely achieved this position:

64S-63D-65H-63H-51H-63H-44B-21P
