Trying the Ash Dalvi Blitz Count.

I don’t know, if i understand the Ash Dalvi blitz count right, and if it is applicable here with only two points made, but I’ll give it a try.

First position.

5 men in the home board, each counting 1. 5.

3 men on the 7/8 point, each counting 0,75. 7,25.

1 man on the 11 point, counting 0,25. 7,5.

Minus 0,25 for 3 men on the 8 point (penalty for lack of diversification). 7,25.

For the 1 point board of the blitzed the table gives 7,25 for the first double and 8 for the first pass.

So: Double, Take.

Second position.

5 men in the home board, each counting 1. 5

4 men on the 7/8 point, each counting 0,75. 8.

2 man on the 11 point, counting 0,25. 8,5.

Minus 0,25 for 4 men on the 8 point (penalty for lack of diversification). 8,25.

Ash Dalvi speeks in his article only of a penalty of 0,25 if there are three man on an outfield point, not if there is a penalty for each man above two men on a point. But even with a 0,5 penalty, we have 8 and a first pass.

So: Double, and Pass.
