Position 1
If white anchors he'll have positional leverage. escaping with 22/16 is reverse attack strategy reducing the effectivenness of any leverage white may have while still maintaining his own forward momentum. If white anchors after 10/4 his leverage will be greater.
Position 2
Surface impression of the ace/deuce blots could entice a false sense of security to run. OTOH, standing fast adds a little flavour whenever white rolls 4's and 5's. The opportunity of wastage producing somewhat of an awkward bear-off should be enough for blue to treat 22/16, 3/1 with distain.
