AshDalvi Blitz Count for the two positions

As I understand your notes, these two positions have the same AshDalvi Blitz Count of 7.25 -- because 13/11 gains 0.25 and 8/6 gains 0.25 -- which translates to a borderline(?) double in both cases.

The identical-pipcount position on the right is the one that Stick and I independently suggested as a variant and he rolled out as [D 794–27] <5 — in other words, a double by .027.

I have stated (with confidence) that the position on the left, which is much stronger than the position on the right, must be a big double, though it has not yet been rolled out.

Btw, this is merely an observation; I meant no criticism of the AshDalvi Blitz Count, even if it is intended to directly translate to cube decisions without further adjustment. It is difficult to create a system that works reasonably well for most cases, while also keeping the rules simple. Here, the AshDalvi Blitz Count got the answer "right" the doubles in both diagrammed positions and also for the 51S-11e-54R-65H-F-52D-F-C pass (left position with 52D added).
