I appreciate your interest in the Ash Dalvi 3/3 Blitz Count and that you have applied it to the current position. However, the 3/3 Blitz Count was supposed to provide a numerical way of providing a wide range of reference positions for a typical early 3/3 position. It's a refinement of "checkers in the zone" methods and intended as a simple starting point to work from when evaluating 3/3 positions.

I can't guarantee that the 3/3 Blitz Count can be extended to evaluate a 2 pt board without conducting rollouts to determine precise penalty values for reducing a 3 pt board to a 2 pt board. I don't think you can just subtract 1 for each checker that make up a pt in the homeboard for 2 pt boards, although it might work in some examples of 2 pt boards. One reason is that the 5 pt is going to be worth more than the 3 pt. So, the checkers that make up these points wouldn't be of equal value. A second reason is that blitzing and dancing potential are much lower when you start with a 2 pt board, although priming potential is still high.

It might be easier to start from scratch and refine current "checkers in the zone" numbers just for 2 pt boards. I have a 5/5 Blitz Count that I am writing up. It is a completely separate sytem because the dynamics of the position are so different from a 3/3 position.

Another reason that it may be better to treat systems separately is to accurately assess the value of assets such as the escaped checker to the 13 pt in relation to builders. I've used "in the zone" methods for 2 pt and 3 pt boards and I have generally just estimated the value of an escaped checker. However, in Part 2 of the 3/3 Blitz Count, I discuss advantages and disadvantages on the potential blitzee's side of the board and try to include these into the system. The rollouts indicate that you frequently can't put a single value on an asset (such as an escaped checker) for all 3/3 positions. For example, the positive value of an escaped checker in a 3/3 position is significantly different depending on whether or not the potential blitzee has made a second board pt.
