I don't think a deeper rollout is necessary; however, you might try rolling it out as a money-game position rather than at 4a3a. Nack's analysis that the plays are probably close but that 24/18 was his preferred 6 was made, I believe, assuming a money game. At 4a3a, the score will swing you towards the more gammonish 13/7.
