Should I do a 2-ply rollout of the first two positions?

Please clarify what you mean by "the first two positions." I'm guessing that you mean (1) the position that you just rolled out on 0-ply and (2) My 6/5 variant, but I'm not at all sure.

Are there any other rollout settings that have to be changed?

Speaking for myself, I'd like to see all GnuBG rollouts on 2-ply and a minimum of 5k trials (so as not to be left with a misimpression when it matters, even if it's just a question of size of margin -- I don't just care about which play comes out on top).

If one or the other has to be sacrificed due to CPU considerations, I guess I'd rather see 5k of 0-ply than 1k of 2-ply. However, I haven't seen enough comparisons of 2-ply vs 0-ply rollouts to be clear on how much the lower ply hurts, whereas I am quite clear on how wild variance is on a mere 1k trials.

However, given that you've already rolled out the first position on 0-ply, what I'd most like to see now is the 6/5 variant position also rolled out on 0-ply (to compare apples to apples). More than 1k trials is always preferable, but whatever.
