If he was practicing versus bot, this decision would never show up* as bot would double him on first opportunity (on previous roll).... *Ok, I wouldn't bet on that as I'm sure Nack could find a sequence where on previous roll it was no double.

A wise caveat on your part. Refer to the sequence captioned above. (Translation of the last few non-fanning plays: 51L = bar/20 9/8, 51H = 14/9 6/5*, 22O = 13/11(2) 9/5.)
