Kleinman count investigation

1. As you can see in this article http://www.bkgm.com/rgb/rgb.cgi?view+700 ,

the Kleinman Count is based on the assumption, that the race length(S) is approximately equal to the sum of the pip counts of the two players minus 4.

And the average number of rolls is approximately S/8.

Isn't it only logical to expect the sum of the EPCs of the two players to be a more precise estimate for the length of the race?!

2. Please try to apply the Kleinman Count to the position below and estimate the MWC:

The score (after 0 games) is: White 0, Blue 0 (match to 1 point, post-Crawford play)

Blue on roll

White66

3X2X3X3X '2X ' ' ' ' ' '

2O3O2O4O3O ' ' ' ' '1O2X

Blue56

Position ID: tzsDBgC7vQMBAA Match ID: cAkgAAAAAAAA

Why is the Kleinman Count nearly useless here? Certainly some adjustments are needed but which?
