1. Blue has reached the phase of mature (socialism::)- phase of 7 point disease. Blue has built every free piece of land with all available material and now can only move the last free (ugly 8) checker or break one of the already built points. With such a small choice of constructive plans for blue, behind in the race, but having a hostage...

The hostage has some evil intentions too. To run with a 6. or 63 or 65! As it is, at this point we can only deter him by hitting the lonely prisoner. Thus he will need 2 numbers to break (only semi) free to our outfield. Not that he is totally helpless - he can hit back, but in this way he might jeopardize his (promoted to the grave - ace point) fellow man. Hit him and then break mid or 11. I see the 11 more valuable than the mythical midpoint because the 11 is almost another midpoint, but also 6 away from the coveted gold. (used xg evaluation). RO and Sticks comments will be interesting.
