As always, the match score matters!! Blue's TP is higher than for money play and if he turns it around, White's TP to 8 is lots lower than for money and Blue's RP to 8 is lots higher than for money.

All this means that White should be recubing here more aggressively than for money.

Using GNU to help understand, simply load the position and then click on analyze/ market window and you'll see the TP's etc and you can adjust cube levels etc to look at the recube. XG users can click on analyze/ cube info.

So...is this a proper money cube from the center? Well..10%-2 is approx. 4 pip lead for borderline D/ND, but White has more wastage which reduces his chances but the position is slightly more likely to be turn based than a true pip count oriented race, thereby slighly raising White's chances. This might be a proper money cube from the center, but I doubt it, but if it isn't it's not wrong by much.

AtS White should be more aggressive due to his RP, his TP to 8, and Blue's TP on 4 and RP to 8. Are these factors enough to make it correct AtS to throw a cube that you allready own? Well.. I think this position is approaching the borderline for the initial cube for $ so I think it is approaching 70% cubeless for White. So...it can't be a big mistake to recube AtS and I suspect it is correct.

I wonder if OTB, either Matt or Mochy or both knew the TP here, or made the calculation, or simply sensed that they need to be more aggressive even at this score with a recube to 4. Perhaps, the one who wasn't rolling and moving made the calculation earlier. There's also lots of time on the clock in doubles to discuss.
