While the jury is still out until the formal studies have been done, I am very confident that you will see that with xgr++ you will almost never have to bother with a rollout!

I have already tested dozens of complex positions with very close answers over the past few months and found that the difference between xgr++ and a 1296 3 or 4 ply rollout are generally trivial.

I am, however, convinced that I have to buy a more powerful computer so that I can get faster results with ++ because often when I was watching the computer for the answer I had missed two doubles in the chouette at the next table!
