1. We're behind in the race with a stronger board and White has two candlesticks. I see no reason to touch the back checkers. The candidates seem to be 13/3* and 8/2* 6/2. 13/3* leaves more return shots but brings a ninth checker into the zone and preserves the 8pt. However, I prefer simply making the 2pt. 8/2* 6/2.
2. White's timing is questionable for a backgame but we have enough awkward gaps that White might hit us early and win going forwards. I'd wait until we have better structure. ND/T.
3. It looks to me that White benefits more than we do from a blot-hitting contest here. I'll just lock up the anchor. Bar/20 24/20.
4. Tricky. An awkward sequence could give White a strong double anchor against our stripped outfield position and we would regret having doubled. On the other hand if we hit and solidify our prime then White is in big trouble. D/T I guess, though I don't understand this position very well.
5. 6/3 6/2 is the natural play but we're about to get pummeled and it would be bad to have a second checker sent back. I guess I play 7/4 7/3 though rather unhappily.
