I always try to make best technical move if I can and have knowledge for that. I think it is best in long run. Bots play in that way and they are best players in the world. I don't care for calculations like these: "..my opponent is droper and I have to double earlier if I want that he take." or "He have no idea about this position, maybe he would pass this." You get idea.

How could you be sure what he will going to do? How you can predict his behavior?

Only situations when I adjusting my play according my opponent strenght is when playing vs worse player I don't send speculative (when he has very easy take) cubes. I don't like to give him/her strong weapon as 2 cube is.

Also for checker play I try to complicate vs weaker and keep it simple vs WC players.

Maybe I am wrong but it is my opinion.
