1. I think 8/6(2) is a must with this much contact remaining. After that I'm not sure, but I guess I play 9/5, preparing to hit if White tries to leap out with one checker to control the outfield. Other plays seem to give White extra good rolls for no clear gain.
2. Tough decision. My first instinct is to pay now with 16/6 when White has two blots and we still have a five-prime. However, after 8/4 8/2 we are likely to be able to play comfortably for a few more rolls while we wait for doublets. White is running out of time too so may be forced to crack soon. 8/4 8/2.
3. I feel fairly confident that you're just supposed to get your checkers around in this sort of situation. 24/18 20/8 13/7.
4. I think it's probably a blunder to pass up the outfield hit. So the first three 4's are bar/21 bar/17*. The final 4 is less clear to me. White's 5's are duplicated to hit and to cover so leaving the blot on the 17pt with 13/9 is worth considering. Still, it's hard to pass up just making a point. Bar/17*(2).
5. I think we have enough of an edge in Position, Race, and Threats to double. Should still be a clear take, though; White's position is decent and Blue is not a favorite to hit. Blue has a number of awkward rolls. D/T.
