I think maybe black has a take even after 6/5 4/1* - dance, he is still up in the race, still has a 4 point board, often gets another shot from the bar, and the 5 point may well remain open. But this is yet a reason to play the play - if the cube is close to the take/drop line, white gets the most bang for the buck on his upcoming double.
