I found reference to backgammon in medieval literally work of one of the greatest Dubrovnik's poet Marin Drzic (Marin Darxich, it. Marino Darsa) where he mentions expression "vrgnuti dzare na tovulier" which means " to throw dice on the tables. Clear reference to backgammon (also called game of tables) which was popular game in every medieval port in Mediterrenian.
