if both players play it's best B can only win if the mother is freed. How should this happen? I will always move the checker from the mother as the last, so no way to avoid gammon....... wait

I have to have all checkers in my homeboard, so I can move from the mother. I must have to move a 1 and being blocked on all other checker so here

AA AAA AAA AAA A AAA BB __ __ __ B

Freeing the mother if 11 or 1-6 comes up is forced. Similar if more points are blocked. but the race gets a problem .... wait, I think I got it:

AA AAA AAA AAA A AAA BB BB BB BB B

So B rolls anything without a 2 and moves from the 4.

AA AAA AAA AAA A AAA BB __ BB BB B

A rolls 1-2 with forced move 6-4,1-off giving:

A AAA AAA AAA AAA BB A_ BB BB B

B pins the checker on the 4 with e.g. the mother giving

A AAA AAA AAA B AAA BB A_ BB BB __

then B moves it's checker to home, finally frees the checker on the 4 and might even win with lucky dice but surely avoid the gammon. Right?
