1. 14/9 13/11 seems standard, though the bots always seem to come up with slightly strange (to me) plays in these sorts of positions. But with any kind of clock running, I don't think that spending time trying to find something better OTB in this kind of position will bring much joy.
2. This is one I'd like to see discussed in the DQR. It takes a long time to roll out variants and I don't entirely trust XGR+ here. The main question seems to be whether we should try to counterprime White's straggler (or two, if we hit), or just let White rush forward and collapse. The catch, of course, is that if we try to counterprime and it fails, then we've just lost a lot of valuable timing. This kind of decision seems to come up a lot in practice. Here it seems to me that White is far enough advanced that we should just let her rush forwards. But this is tough for me to assess, which is why I'd like Stick's analysis here. Bar/24 10/6.
3. Recubes at 5a7a are typically wrong if there are gammons remaining, for much the same reason that initial cubes at 3a7a are typically wrong if there are gammons remaining. But let's look at the take/pass decision first. If White drops she has 23% (according to G11 anyway, which is what I've memorized; I seem to recall that R-K is off by one here), if she takes and loses she has 9%, if she takes and wins she has 65%. The raw take point is 25%, but this isn't factoring in the recube, which is quite powerful here. White's chances lie mostly in her race lead; if she enters and leaps the prime without getting a second checker sent back, she'll have some decent winning chances. But it looks like a long shot, and White could also expose more blots after entering, due to her weak front position. I think I'd pass here. So does Blue win enough gammons to make this TG, bearing in mind that it's easier to be TG at this score than at a normal score? Possibly, but I'd redouble. I find myself zeroing in on RD/P, even though I just warned myself that redoubling is often wrong ATS...
4. Pretty scary to take here because White can be attacked as well as primed here, and though Blue has two checkers back, White has only a gappy four-prime versus Blue's solid five-prime. D/T I guess, though I'm not so sure about the take.
5. There are boldness indicators here so I think we should slot either the 9pt or the 10pt. The 10pt might even be better than the 9pt here for blocking purposes. On the other hand, bar/22 13/9 duplicates 5's whereas I don't see how to duplicate 6's. Bar/22 13/9 for me.
