I should review my blitz reference positions but I seem to recall that 33 blitzes tend to be in 0.9 territory, which is not what I'd call a big take in this particular context. I might be getting confused with a position where the defender has another vulnerable blot, though.

Also while not a big consideration yet, Blue must have a little for score

Isn't this backwards when Blue doesn't win many gammons? Here, most "cubeless" gammons that Blue wins are presumably cashed as inefficient cubes, so they're effectively only single wins.
