Joker Cube

Agree completely with Neil, until further evidence is presented there's no reason not to continue using the cube until the end of the game!
One of the fun things here will be calculating the worth of holding the cube. I assume it starts in the middle, with both players having access to it, like the doubling cube?
BTW: If it's only supposed to force an opponent to reroll, and not allow yourself to reroll, shouldn't it's name be the "Anti Joker Cube"? When I just saw this thread, I intuitively thought that the Joker Cube would allow you a reroll, when you needed a joker ;-)
Both variations would probably be fun.
One thing that could be considered to further complicate things, was if the use or position of the (Anti) Joker Cube was related to the use or position of the doubling cube: - You're not allowed to double if you have the Joker Cube, or - If you double, you must also hand over the Joker Cube (lowering the take point), or - When a player doubles, the joker cube must change side, or - The joker cube can also be used to prevent a double for one or more rolls, etc.
