OTB my opp had, IMO. just butchered his 53 from the roof by breaking his 5 prime and hitting loose. I paused a moment and considered whether to recube.

In favor of recubing, the position is quite volatile and I trail in the match, but weighing against recubing, often he'll have a take next turn and I am the stronger player.

Anyhow, the spectre of a match winning gammon looms and noting that I'd certainly hit loose with missing 3's and 6's I recubed.

Oh..I rolled a 6, all right, but one that danced, and I think my opp's immediate recube to 8 was too early. I snapped it up and later won.
